Correction : Here is the correction of the listening and exercises of vocabulary(Prefixes).

Practice: You have to do all the exercises on page 95. You have to do this worksheet to practise Reported Speech a bit more. You have to send me the worksheet today.

SPEAKING

You can choose ONE between these two choices:

a) You have to talk about A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. You can talk about what you do to be in shape and you can also advise (Modals) people how to keep fit. You have to use precise vocabulary and grammatical structures.

b) You have to talk about CULTURE AND TRADITIONS. You can explain the cultural traditions in your village or county. You have to describe them, and say what you think about it. You have to use precise vocabulary and grammatical structures.

The video must last 3 minutes approximately.

You have to send it to me before 18^th June.

EVALUATION OF SPEAKING

I will evaluate the fluency and accuracy. I will also take into account the use of vocabulary and grammar.

If you do not know how to pronounce a word, you can listen to it on an online dictiorary such as Wordreference.

TESTS

There will be a test for the people who did not pass the first and second term. It will be on 15th June(Monday)

Today you have to do a Revision of unit 7. First you have to listen to the video and answer the questions and then you have to do the rest of the worksheet. You have one hour to do it and send it to me (until 10 a.m.)

If you copy any of the exercises, you will get a negative and will fail the evaluation.

SHOULD se utiliza para dar o pedir consejo (GIVE ADVICE OR ASK FOR ADVICE), se traduce por DEBERÍA, DEBERÍAS...

MUST se utiliza para expresar obligación(OBLIGATION): TIENES QUE , DEBES ....

MUST NOT (MUSTN'T) se usa para expresar PROHIBICIÓN(PROHIBITION): NO DEBES

La estructura es como la de los otros verbos modales, es decir,siempre van seguidos de un verbo en la forma base (infinitivo sin TO) , en NEGATIVA se forma añadiendo NOT (N'T contraido), y para preguntar se pone delante el verbo , después el sujeto y el verbo principal.

HAVE TO en afirmativa también se usa para expresar OBLIGACIÓN (OBLIGATION), igual que MUST. Para preguntas se usa el auxiliar DO o DOES, y para la negación tambien de usa DON'T o DOESN'T. Pero en negativa significa NO ES NECESARIO.

IMPORTANTE: en afirmativa podemos usar MUST o HAVE TO indistintamente porque son sinónimos, pero en negativa son completamente distintos.

EJEMPLOS:

Write a description of life currently (nowadays) comparing it with the past. Use CAN, COULD , ALLOW(affirmative and negative), and use the vocabulary of units 4, 5 and 6(for example, earn, pay by credit card, bride, elderly, earlier, worse, etc. You can write about the members of your family (For example, in the past teenagers couldn't get married and now you can get married if you are over eighteen). You must write at least 120 words.

Second, Writing task: you have to write an email to one of your friends, telling him or her about how our life has changed these weeks because of the situation originated by the pandemic. We are going to do the second term evaluation as it was organised (but online). I have marks of all the skills , except for the speaking, so you are going to do what I had thought at the beginning.

You must read the book “All about the cinema”, you have two  weeks to do it , and there are 12 chapters, so you can read 6 chapters a week. You have to do the activities at the end of each chapters, and I will send you some more to check  your understanding.
